第一次认识PINK FLOYD时，我还在读博。 当年， PINK FLOYD作环球巡演，
有一站就在学校的八万人大球场。 我是第一次听说PINK FLOYD这个名字。同实验
室的好些美国学生提起PINK FLOYD都很兴奋，我问早些时候有ROLLING STONE的演唱
会，如果在ROLLING STONE和PINK FLOYD之间选，你们喜欢谁？GREG很诧异我居然问
这样一个他眼中很愚蠢的问题， 当然是PINK FLOYD了。

演唱会那天我们一早站在球场旁的山坡上。那时刚到美国，口袋里没几个钱，50美
元的一张票还买不起。山坡上人挤得满满的，也不光是中国学生穷，美国的穷学生
也很多啊。
舞台搭得很辉煌， PINK FLOYD演唱会以高科技激光作卖点。没几首歌后，我就认同
了他们的音乐，尤其是那激扬的ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL。

演唱会后，校园里多了许多PINK FLOYD的T恤。我后来收集了些PINK FLOYD的CD，还
看了那部THE WALL。说老实话，那部电影挺晦涩的。 有人提起THE WALL的音乐在柏
林墙倒塌时大放特放，不过想想除了歌名外，与政治也搭不上关系。

前些时后看了关于PINK FLOYD的记录片。我当年看到的PINK FLOYD是缺了PINK FLOYD最
重要的成员ROGER WATERS。 PINK FLOYD成立于1967年，1973年出了他们最受赞扬的
大碟。1980年的双碟ALBUM是另一里程碑，可
以说是ROGER WALTERS的BRAINCHILD。 1980-81的THE WALL演唱会奠定了他们在开CONCERT的
地位，虽然乐队成员有变，但只要他们开一场，就会爆满一场。

去年PINK FLOYD出了双碟精选集ECHOES，收集曲目跨越SID BARRETT主笔的起步期，
WATERS领导的黄金岁月，和后WATERS年代。PINK FLOYD另一出色之处是他们的唱片
封面和海报，都极之前卫和创意，想想房间里挂十张PINK FLOYD的唱片封套，一定
酷毙了。

去年经过哈佛广场，一阵熟悉的歌声传入耳朵。有一卖唱者在高歌一曲NUMB>。 我心里想， 在这里赞美麻木是有其用意的。

gross! what is that?

These are gross things BUT they`re real! First let`s stick to the basics: germs, gross as goo [we`ll talk about goo later], bacteria, weird lookin are they? Whether they look like rods or spiral shape or just plain old balls they make you sick. [some do].

This is their nikname E.B.O.T.B for their detroying cells that make up your body. Anothor type of body ciminal is a virus. They first rob the cell like you are robbing a bank [you get the whole thing, do you?] then they blow out with copies.
